You may bid online through eBay Live Auctions, hosted by LiveAuctioneers. Both buyers and consignors benefit from online bidding. Online bidding is available only for catalogued auctions.

Online Bidding Terms and Conditions

All merchandise sold “as is, where is.” Descriptions believed correct but not guaranteed. We do not give refunds. The winning bidder becomes the owner of the item immediately at the close of the bid.

20% Buyer’s Premium: Cash (in-house only), approved check, Visa and MasterCard accepted. Credit card required for absentee and phone bids. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL!

Online Bidding: Payment required within 3 business days of the auction. Items will be shipped once payment has been received. Harlowe-Powell will not be held responsible for errors or failure to execute bid(s). Absentee bids may be submitted electronically during the preview period on Ebay.com or Liveauctioneers.com.

Reserve Price: Some lots are offered subject to a reserve. A reserve is a confidential minimum price below which such a lot will not be sold. Harlowe-Powell will act to protect the reserve by bidding through the auctioneer. The auctioneer may open the bidding on any lot below the reserve by placing a bid on behalf of the Seller and may continue to bid on behalf of the Seller up to the amount of the reserve.

Absentee Bids: Please remember this is a live auction. Just because you have left an absentee bid for a certain amount does not mean that you will ultimately win the item if it is sold at that amount. Our auctioneer takes bids from all parties including live floor bidders and online bidders. We try to ensure that all bids are represented equally.

Contract: Your bid is a contract. Place a bid only if you’re serious about buying the item. If you are the successful and winning bidder, you have entered into a legally binding contract to purchase the property bid on from the seller. You should contact the seller to resolve any questions before bidding. We are a small auction house and need to ship things quickly to make room for new items coming in. Please complete your transactions with us as soon as possible so that we can get your items picked up and shipped to you quickly!

Shipping: Buyers pay all shipping, insurance and packaging supply costs. PLEASE NOTE! Shipping furniture is expensive! Please do not bid on large items unless you are willing to pay the cost.
