How To Consign

There are many consignment options and it is easy to sell through Harlowe-Powell, whether you are a local or distant consignor.

Bring Your Items to the Auction House: Please call ahead to make a weekday appointment (434-293-2904) to ensure that the right staff members are here to look at your items. Please do not bring items to us during one of our auctions since it is difficult for us to give you and your items the attention they need.  We sell items on consignment only.  We do not buy anything outright.

Send Pictures of Your Items via Email: If you are not able to bring your items to the auction house, please email clear photos (jpgs) to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . An appraiser or auctioneer will look at the items and determine fpr which auction they are best suited. You can then schedule a pick-up, drop-off, or ship them to us.

Make an Appointment with an Auctioneer to Come to Your Home or Business: If you have a large number of items for consignment and would like our auctioneer to make a house call, please call to make an appointment with Pat Powell at (434) 293-2904. We can also pick the items up for you.

Out of Town Consignments: People from all over the world consign through Harlowe-Powell because our strong online auction presence traditionally gets good prices for many types of items. Our long history and record of integrity have resulted in many relationships with consignors all over the country. No matter where you are located, we would like to give you the opportunity to consign with us. Once an auctioneer or appraiser has approved your items for a particular auction, you can ship them to us and we will then decide the best auction in which to feature them.
